    NURSE

Care for those who are serving the country.

Whether in the District of Columbia National Guard or in a civilian hospital, nurses are indispensable members of the health care system. However, in the Guard, nurses participate in treatments not encountered in civilian hospitals. Today's Guard nurses are caring for Soldiers suffering from a wide array of wounds, both physical and psychological. One day you may be caring for a polytrauma patient. The next day you may be working with a Soldier suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. While no two days are ever the same for Guard nurses, one thing is constant: When your Guard service is complete, you'll bring incredible, advanced training to your new civilian practice.
