The District of Columbia National Guard appreciates the crucial nature

the Guard, we offer incentive programs. You may qualify for one or both.
Healthcare Professional Bonus (Physician Assistants are now eligible for
$20,000 per year for 3 years - total $60,000.)

As a District of Columbia National Guard physician assistant, you'll receive
a Medical Specialist Corps commission in the District of Columbia National
Guard Medical Department (DCMEDD). You will be recognized as both a military
officer and a highly skilled medical professional. You'll have the authority
and support you need to get the job done, in addition to the traditional respect
and privileges due the rank. You'll work side-by-side with medical professionals
with battlefield experience, offering you the benefit of their knowledge and
expertise. And you'll feel an undeniable sense of pride and camaraderie when
you don the uniform of a commissioned officer in the District of Columbia National
Guard Medical Department.
